The E-Sourcing/CLM Enablement Specialist is responsible to help develop and execute digital procurement events in support of Fresenius Medical Care’s One Procurement strategy to achieve best total cost of ownership, sustainable productivity, and high levels of quality and service aligned with cross-functional business objectives.
The specialist coordinates and acts on behalf of global and regional category managers and business partners to understand their requirements and to build and coordinate the most suitable digital sourcing event including RFPs, E-Auctions, RFQs etc. and prepares analysis to allow the requestor to negotiate the best deal possible and to award business to the most appropriate supplier.
Responsibilities:
Supports the creation and execution of e-sourcing events under the direction of Global and Regional Category Managers, including creation of E-Sourcing events and E-Auctions
Maintains knowledge of current trends, system capabilities, innovation, and changes within the technology landscape
Supports cross-functional supplier selection activities and management of formal e- sourcing and RFx processes, supplier identification, and supplier due diligence activities
Performs proposal analysis, including price analyses, “Should Cost” modeling, benchmarking and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
Builds relationships and partners with the Procurement Value Enablement (PVE) team to triage requests, collaborate on E-Sourcing projects and understand local procurement needs
Champions the use of E-Sourcing, Spend Visibility, and R2P tools within category; leverages and utilizes eAuctions where appropriate
Demonstrates the highest ethical standards and ensures FMC procedures are adopted and followed
Generates proposal/quote comparisons and compiles detailed assessment of cost breakdowns
Act as first point of contact for questions from team members and escalate to Lead where further guidance is required
Play a pivotal role in change management, helping the team adapt to new ways of working. Address resistance to change and foster a culture of innovation
Manages the lifecycle of contracts, including contract creation, negotiation, and execution, ensuring alignment with legal and compliance requirements.
Collaborates with the Legal department to ensure contracts meet regulatory and legal standards, addressing contract amendments, renewals, and terminations.
Utilizes Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system CPAi, for contract management and catalog management, ensuring effective usage and optimization of these tools.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in either Technical or Business field
Good understanding of sourcing and contracting methodologies
Experience with hands-on analysis and data interpretation; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites preferred
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
1-3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain or related field with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent directly-related work
experience
1-3 years of contract management experience, specifically handling supplier contracts, negotiations, and post-award contract
compliance.
1-2 years of direct industry or company experience preferred
Previous experience with an E-Sourcing platform preferred
Experience working closely with Legal teams to ensure contract adherence to legal requirement
English (written and spoken) – Fluent; Beneficial other languages German, Spanish
Project management expertise with the ability to carry projects from planning through implementation.
Ability to collaborate and communicate with leaders and stakeholders both internally and externally.
Critical thinking and decision-making skills with ability to understand opportunities, create value and solve complex problems.
Strong relationship management skills
This role requires working night shifts to support our global operations. We’re ideally looking for someone amenable to work at night and preferably with prior experience working night hours.
