Summary:
EH&S Coordinator (Inovo) is responsible for assuring Inovo’s conformance to external and internal standards of safety and quality. This role includes the assessment, reporting, and continuous improvement of Safety and Quality processes at the Inovo facility, Lehigh Acres, FL. Conduct employee EH&S training and facility inspections to comply with OSHA and company requirements.
Main Activities/Responsibilities:
Performing biweekly Safety Walkthroughs. Preparation and presentation of safety statistics during daily dashboard meetings.Lead the deployment of training policies and programs for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) on the Florida site to create and maintain a culture of safety. Lead and ensure company policies and procedures such as confined space safety procedures, hot work permit procedure, log out tag out procedure and mandated training for contractors are followedLead and implement emergency response procedures & teams e.g. fire evacuation, hurricane, battery spill team, etc Lead safety related incident investigations and reports with detailed documentations in a timely manner. Collaborating with HR on Workers Comp claims for OSHA recordable incidents and when substance testing is requiredAssess and evaluate manufacturing and distribution quality processes for potential hazards by completing job hazard analysis. Implement hazard control and mitigation methods, procedures and programs, and measure, audit and evaluate their effectiveness. Identify and report new and/or potential future risks to Supervisor and Manager, Corporate EH&S with recommendations/corrective actions. Conduct mandated new hire orientation Safety training to assist Associates in onboarding. Conduct and coordinate monthly and special topic safety training, including, but not limited to, ESD training, forklift training, fire extinguisher training, CPR and AED training and Hazmat training as appropriate. Maintain associated training records and certifications, incident records, including OSHA recordable, and total hours worked. Update and manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Safety equipment and First Aid Kits. Provide guidance to maintain cleanliness, orderliness and safety of the work area. Report to management for periodic reviews (e.g., QRC, Management Review as needed) Ensure that regulatory and statutory requirements (e.g., OSHA) are met.Implement and Lead Safety Committee. Schedule monthly meetings and all other SC duties.Perform annual Fall Protection Check according to safety checklistPerform periodic PPE Hazard Assessments.Manage inventory levels of required PPEs Responsible for Preventive and routine Maintenance of safety shower, eyewash station, fire extinguishersEnsure the proper disposal of universal and hazardous waste Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Associate degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience; CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification a plus. Minimum 2 years experience in Safety preferred. Job specific knowledge in environmental compliance, safety/OSHA compliance, ability to research, read, interpret and apply rules and regulations. Assembly or light manufacturing environment with exposure to diverse equipment or apparatus; Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic. Computer proficiency including, but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word. An understanding of HIPAA privacy laws and the need to guard personal employee as well as company information. Minimum 3 years of regulated industry experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus. Working knowledge of domestic and international medical device regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO-13485, MDD 93/42/EEC, Health Canada regulations, etc.) preferred.
