The Role\: Electrical and Electronic Components Qualification Engineer

We are seeking a qualified engineer to join our Electrical and Electronic Components Qualification LAB. In this role, you will be responsible for the selection and qualification of electronic components, conducting tests, analyzing results, and making recommendations for component selection and usage.

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of electronic components used in our company's products.

 

What will you do?

• Responsible for electronic component selection and qualification process, based on product requirements, industry standards, and risk assessments.

• Select and qualify new components for product designs, considering factors such as performance, cost, availability, and reliability

• Strong understanding of Active and Passive components and support all PMP, Resilience & EOL projects to qualify electronic parts of Active (IGBT, Diodes, MOSFET…) and Passive (Resistors, Capacitors, Magnetics, Cables, Battery…) components

• Conduct various tests on components, including environmental, electrical, mechanical, and reliability testing

• Collaborate with internal & external LABs, design & R&D teams, procurement specialists, and manufacturing teams to ensure proper component selection and usage

• Stay up to date on industry trends, new technologies, and component advancements

• Prepare and present technical reports and presentations on component qualification activities

 

Who would be successful?

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic component qualification or  Hardware design engineer

• Strong understanding of electronic components, PCB, Analog & Digital IC’s, active & passive components, and their applications

• Experience with various testing methodologies, including environmental, electrical, mechanical, and reliability testing

• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation

• Excellent communication and writing skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience with industry standards and regulations

• Experience with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IPC, JEDEC) is a plus

• Work location\: Rosario Cavite

• Working arrangements\: Compressed workweek, Full time onsite
