Support daily production schedules through the timely troubleshooting and repair of faulty equipment to correct issues both mechanical and electrical in naturePerform routine chemical analysis on liquid e-coat samples (pH, conductivity, % solids, titrations)Work with Operations team to monitor machine and process efficiency and to ensure production goals are consistently metMonitor and maintain the wastewater treatment system to ensure compliant operation and prevent the discharge of non-conforming materialsCollect, analyze, and interpret machine performance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiativesWork with Engineering team to identify, support, and lead projects focused on improving the safety, efficiency, and capacity of manufacturing equipment and processesSupport the development, implementation, and enhancement of an effective preventative maintenance (PM) program to ensure consistent equipment performanceAssist the maintenance staff to ensure PM activities are completed effectively and at their scheduled intervalsAssist in maintaining spare part and chemical inventories, including cataloguing components and recommending stocking levels based on equipment history and usage trendsDocument all equipment repairs and maintenance activities to support historical trend analysis and informed decision-makingConduct root cause analysis of machine faults and maintenance repairs with recommendations for process or machinery improvementsDevelop and maintain effective lines of communication between manufacturing personnel, supervisory personnel, and outside contacts as requiredAdhere to all company safety policies and regulatory requirements; promote a safe and sanitary work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.Participate in safety training, toolbox talks, and meetings; lead safety discussions and investigations as needed, including accident and near-miss reporting with corrective actions. KEY CORE COMPETENCIES:Attention to DetailStrong Listening SkillsProblem SolvingLeadershipSelf-MotivatedAccuracy and Follow ThroughTeamwork/Cooperation SKILLS/EQUIPMENT/QUALIFICATIONS:Education and/or ExperienceMetal finishing and electrocoating processesIndustrial ovensReverse osmosis (RO) water systemsWastewater treatment systemsHoists, rigging, and material handling equipmentAutomated manufacturing systemsAllen Bradley PLCs and control systemsAssociate degree in Engineering or related technical field from a 2-year college or technical school, or 1–2 years of relevant technical experience and/or training in maintaining industrial automation equipmentBachelor’s degree in Engineering preferredPrior experience in the following areas a plus:Technical Knowledge Proficient in the maintenance and troubleshooting of automated assembly equipment, including pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.Basic understanding of key process equipment such as pumps, filtration systems, heat exchangers, and ovens.Working knowledge of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.Ability to accurately diagnose equipment issues and communicate technical findings to cross-functional teams, including Operations and Engineering.Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, gather and interpret data, and develop sound conclusions.Proficient in reading and interpreting a wide variety of technical instructions, schematics, and maintenance documentation.Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend technical documents such as safety procedures, operating manuals, and maintenance instructionsAbility to create routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Operations and Engineering management.Physical Demands Regularly required to talk and hear in an industrial environmentAbility to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. on a routine basisOccasional requirements to reach, climb ladders, and work from elevated platforms using appropriate fall protection in accordance with OSHA standardsAbility to stand for extended periods and work in various physical positions as required by maintenance tasks
