We are looking to add a **Dynamics Engineer** to design, engineer and manufacture complex rotating equipment used by the US Navy, and for the Nuclear and Commercial power generation industries. **Your Responsibilities:** You will **perform structural dynamic, shock, and seismic design & analysis of rotating electro-mechanical systems** , assessing new and existing equipment. With the goal of optimizing performance, safety, quality, and cost effectiveness at our power manufacturing facility, EMD (Electrical-Mechanical). While working collaboratively within technical and project teams to achieve effective design solutions. + Due to the need to have precise documentation, excellent written communications skills are critical. Created documents will include **final design reports, test reports, engineering calculations of record, technical letters, and customer deliverables.** Additionally, will compose and interpret technical specifications and **product testing requirements.** + In this role you will be involved with **designing new equipment and machinery** to support project needs. This will include providing technical assistance in building, installing, along with testing equipment and facilities ensuring production capabilities. + **Develops** innovative, practical solutions to advance technical engineering problems regarding **structural and machinery dynamics** . **Provides technical support to failure investigations and bid responses** . While leading and contributing to technical design review activities. + **Leads technical teams in design and analytical activities for product design and development** for **structural dynamics and rotating equipment components** . As team leader you must be comfortable mentoring less experienced engineers and be willing to be actively involved in developing their skills. + Plans and leads **dynamic, acoustic and shock testing of systems, assemblies, and components** + Provides task-based **cost estimates, scopes of work and engineering schedules** of high fidelity for the individual job function. + **Position will actively contribute toward patents, technical papers, or articles.** **What you Bring:** + Bachelor’s degree in **related Engineering discipline** , with an Advanced Degree focused on **Dynamics or Acoustics being preferred.** + Minimum 10 years' experience in the **structural dynamics or shock analysis** + Effective composition, documentation, and presentation skills to concisely relay information to all levels of the group. + Due to nature of our work, applicants must be a US citizen additionally able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance and approvals. \#LI-MO1 _No unsolicited agency submittals please.
