Are you passionate about delivering excellent service and making a real difference in a healthcare environment? We’re looking for a dedicated Duty Supervisor to join our patient catering team. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring patients, staff, and visitors receive a consistently high standard of food service and support. Working closely with the Patient Services Manager and General Manager, you'll help lead a team that takes pride in putting people first and delivering with care and quality.
What you’ll do:
As a Duty Supervisor, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of catering services. Your key duties will include:
Operational Oversight:Ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and delivery.Oversee the accurate stocking of meal trolleys and ensure timely dispatch and delivery to wards.Liaise with the Systems Controller to order food and supplies in line with demand.Service Delivery:Perform quality spot checks and ward audits to maintain service standards.Provide hands-on support as a Catering Assistant when required.Build and maintain strong relationships with ward staff, ensuring patient satisfaction.Team Leadership & Support:Prepare staff rotas, monitor performance, and support training and development needs.Encourage team communication through regular meetings and daily huddles.Lead by example to drive service excellence.Compliance & Documentation:Ensure accurate record-keeping for food safety, hygiene, stock, and waste management.Monitor and maintain cleanliness standards across all catering areas.Report equipment faults and follow up on necessary repairs.What you bring:
