DescriptionSCOPE
The incumbent closely monitors all processes related to ensuring high level of maintenance works done in the hotel and that they are timely and defect free.
Key ResponsibilitiesMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES\nRespond and attend to guest repair requests.\n Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues.\nVisually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. \nIdentify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings. \nMaintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.\nTest, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items.\nProgram TV's and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties. \nPerform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping as well as external landscaping sprinklers.\nFollow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. \nDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. \nMaintains all hotel building and equipment in a good and neat condition.\nEnsures that effective and concise preventative maintenance schedules are followed.\nEnsures timely completion of all assigned tasks and responsibilities.\nInspects all areas and take corrective measures in order to meet Kempinski Standards in terms of maintenance and hotel upkeep.\nCoordinates maintenance duties with various departments such as Front Desk, Housekeeping, Sales and Marketing and Food & Beverage to ensure that all guestrooms and public areas are clean and well maintained in a timely and efficient manner.\nMaintains a good working relationship with other employees, providing instruction and encouragement as needed.\nEnsures a clean, neat and organized work area.\nPerforms other tasks or projects as assigned by General Manager, Director of Engineering and /or assistant Director of Engineering.\nPerforms duties outside the scope of the position in case of emergency, when called upon.\nAttends meetings and training sessions as required.\nAccomplishes a set of administrative duties such as leading and attending meeting, writing reports and memos and other specific duties related to the job function. \nAdditional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.\n

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise\nNATIONALITY: Eligible for a working permit in country of hire
EDUCATION: BSc of Engineering / Certified technical diploma in mechanical (HVAC) or electrical
\nEXPERIENCE: Minimum 1 to 3 years in Engineering department in Supervisory level / Engineering faculty Fresh graduate (HVAC / Electrical).\n
LANGUAGE: Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment: \nLocal language – excellent oral and written skills (as applicable) \nEnglish – excellent oral and written skills \nAdditional language – beneficial \nCOMPETENCIES:\nCustomer focused and people oriented\nAbility to lead and motivate a team of multi-skilled technicians\nGood organizational work planning and reporting skills\nGood basic computer skills in software office (word, Excel, Power Point)\n
