YOUR TASKSThe MCC Duty Manager plans, controls and monitors the daily maintenance activities on the aircraft fleets managed by EAT at the Leipzig site as well as the EAT outstations. In this context, he/she is responsible for the supervision of the technical maintenance and MCC staff and ensures that the best customer satisfaction is achieved for the respective requirements. He/she also assumes technical and disciplinary responsibility for the maintenance crews, MCC, troubleshooting and all specialist departments that report to the maintenance management.
Holds daily operational meetings with all key departments to ensure that all planned work is distributed and sufficient manpower is available
Provides information on the technical status of the aircraft in Leipzig and the EAT outstations at all times.
Ensures that regular updates on this status are reported to the respective operators via MOC and Maintenance Management (oversees the regular production of layover and AOG reports).
Influences shift management in terms of planning, monitoring and revising the tasks and activities of maintenance personnel within the elapsed planned time window to deliver customer performance.
Ensures that safety regulations and human factors aspects are observed by technical staff.
Ensures compliance with all aviation regulations (LBA / EASA) and other approved EAT internal procedures (such as MOE, CAME, etc.) or those of the respective operator.
Coordination with support departments (e.g. Engineering, STEP, AV, Logistics) to make the aircraft available to the network again as soon as possible (in case of AOG, major construction sites).
Daily coordination with Ramp Control to ensure continuous access of the MX to the A/C's during maintenance activities
Ensuring effective and in time performance of the requested/required work, supports root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions if required (KPI and performance tracking)
Ensures control and check of the work order folders as well as the in time return of all papers
Operational support to the MOC and FOC
Monitors that all important information is made available via EAT's reporting system at shift handovers.
Single point of contact for EAT's customers (operators)
Customer service for third parties when renting EAT equipment
Contact person for events in the hangar (arrival of contractors, visitors, etc.)
Ensuring order and cleanliness in the hangar
Track efficiency of processes, suggest and participate process improvements
Support and implement company policy
Performs special tasks / project work
Assigns tasks to his subordinate departments in the MCC
Development of processes and work instructions
Coordinates, maintains and monitors a defined reporting culture
Ensures coordination of the entire MCC structure
Takes over overall responsibility for technical operations in the absence of the management team
Monitors and controls access to the EAT hangar and its adjoining properties.
Manages the maintenance operation with the resources providedYOUR PROFILE
Completed (specialized) studies in aircraft engineering or completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic with at least 5 years of professional experience with large aircraft (preferably in a large maintenance company)
At least 3 years of experience as a manager in the aviation industry
Holder of a valid Part 66 Cat B1 or Cat B2 license for aircraft maintenance
Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
Good knowledge of MS Office applications and other software programs such as AIMS, TRAX, AMOS
Extensive knowledge in aircraft maintenance, quality, aviation legislation (EASA, LBA regulations), safety, operational procedures, production and planning, as well as the internal DHL structure (NCG / flight monitoring)
Good knowledge of aviation legislation, fundamentals of labor law, and knowledge of corporate policies (collective agreements, company agreements, EAT and group policies)
Strong leadership skills - willingness and ability to lead, guide, and motivate colleagues
Confident demeanor, assertiveness, and negotiation skills
