KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done.  Anantara employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues.   Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

To oversee the daily activities of front desk agents, concierge, and other front office team, ensuring they adhere to established procedures and provide excellent customer service. To monitor all arrivals, ensuring all requests are carried out smoothly.  Ensure all reservations are honoured, or dealt with as quickly and smoothly as possible. Deal with VIP room inspections/arrivals/departures.To handle guest inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive guest experience from arrival to departure. To ensures smooth and efficient guest registration, room assignments, and departure processes. To assist in managing room availability, optimizing occupancy, and contributing to revenue management strategies. To assist in training new front desk staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance. To ensures adherence to hotel security procedures, including guest identification, key control, and emergency response. To maintain effective communication with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, etc.) to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction. To participate in strategies to maximize revenue, such as room upsells. In the absence of the Front Office Manager, the Duty Manager may assume their responsibilities. Ensure all associates are up to date with current facts of the hotel products and services including room types, rates, relatives and facilities, food and beverage outlets, spa and health club.Attend training sessions as required.

QualificationsMinimum 2+ years experience at a assistant level within a Hotel environmentExceptional people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse teamExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Exceptional customer service skills and an unwavering positive attitude.Understanding of trust accountingA passion for delivering exceptional, pro-active customer service.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAvailability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required.
