Where is the work:
Hybrid: This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week. This position will cover the NYC and NJ territory.
Summary:
Trane has an exciting new opportunity to join our organization as a Ductless Technical Specialist. In this position you will be working closely with our contractor customers and internal service fulfillment team to ensure proper installation and startup. You will also be providing sales support in the application of Trane VRF and Ductless products. Primarily on post-sale technical & contractor support. FSR type role. First line of defense for technical support prior to calling JV tech support or dispatching service tech.
What you will do:
· Responsible for VRF/Ductless product success
· Participate in Mitsubishi DSG program as a representative for your district/territory.
· Will be trained on Mitsubishi products and participate in becoming a certified trainer for our internal training program.
· Monitor, measure, and modify process measurements to meet customer needs effectively and efficiently.
· Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, advising corrective action, and communicating with customers, and co-workers.
· Provide commercial and high-level technical product sales training to district office personnel and customers.
· Responsible for field training of customers in the installation and troubleshooting of VRF and Ductless products.
· Able to troubleshoot VRF and Ductless products.
· Able to assist in the startup and commissioning of VRF and ductless products.
· Build consultative relationships and trust with owners and contracting customers.
· Support District office performance by coaching sales personnel in competent VRF product sales, application, and customer support.
What you will bring:
· At least 2 to 5 years of VRF experience is required
· Background in VRF Installation and VRF System Control strongly preferred
· Knowledge of Commercial HVAC systems strongly preferred
· Customer presentation / training skills is preferred.
· Must be able to travel throughout assigned territory
· Great public speaking and presenting experience is required
· Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:
o DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Carless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $85,000 -$120,000, plus incentive
Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, and geographic location where the work is performed.
This position is classified as safety-sensitive.
