The Netflix Dubbing Production team is responsible for getting those amazing programs to our growing international audience. As a Language Production Manager, Dubbing, you will be responsible for how members experience dubbed audio, ensuring Netflix customers across the globe get the highest-quality experience from our localized audio assets. As we continue to add support for new languages and expand our global membership, providing best-in-class localized content is critical to our success.

The Role

 The Language Production Manager, Dubbing, will be the main liaison between the Netflix Dubbing team and the local dubbing studios, not only overseeing the production of select titles in their respective language(s) but also ensuring a healthy production pipeline among our Dubbing vendors. The ideal candidate is an organized, strategic thinker who thrives in managing a multitude of tasks while safeguarding all title-level requirements. You will be working on Netflix's growing catalog to manage long & short form project progress, creative and quality control, and the launch of all dubbed assets. Managing end-to-end dubbing includes working closely with internal and external partners to direct and influence outcomes even amidst ambiguity.  This is a demanding and fast-moving position that requires someone who can maintain a holistic approach while getting as tactical as necessary to deliver the content. Applicants must work across all components of Dubbing alongside in-territory teams to produce high-quality global audio assets in their language.   

Responsibilities

Serve as the leading voice of dubbing production in respective markets, managing multiple large-scale projects across various dubbing partners for Netflix titles.

Define best practices and creative excellence guidelines for specific languages and markets.

Analyze language trends to address localization challenges in collaboration with Dubbing Title Managers.

Build and maintain strong relationships with the talent community, expanding existing talent databases.

Collaborate with Dubbing Partners on casting and sound mix reviews, ensuring adherence to creative guidelines.

Enhance Dubbing production operations by identifying efficiencies and innovative opportunities.

Work closely with the Global Resource Strategy team to evaluate vendor strategies using data and expertise.

Support and collaborate with cross-functional partners and dubbing studios on Inclusion and Diversity initiatives.

Monitor the competitive landscape in respective markets.

REQUIREMENTS

At least five years of Dubbing production experience, both in creative and operational positions.

Strong understanding of the creative process and the ability to communicate effectively with Dubbing talent (translators/adaptors, voice actors, dubbing directors).

Excellent communication skills to represent Netflix within the dubbing ecosystem..

Curiosity and adaptability to new technologies and processes.

Innovative thinking around scalable solutions and workflows.

Proficiency in analyzing data to identify problems and propose solutions.

Strong understanding of Dubbing workflows and pipelines.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing projects from development through delivery.

Contribute to a culture of curiosity and proactive responsibility within the Dubbing team.

Proficiency in writing, facilitating, and presenting. 

Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent, relevant work experience.

Background in Sound Engineering is beneficial.

Fluency in English is mandatory, with proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Czech, Hungarian, Romanian. Fluency in more than one CEE language is advantageous.
