As a Slot Machine Attendant, you will be responsible for providing maintenance of gaming floor equipment and assisting guests as needed. All team members receive benefits including: + Weekly pay + Employee assistance program + Training and development opportunities + Employee discounts + Flexible work schedules Eligible team members may also receive: health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation days and holidays, paid parental bonding leave, and tuition and/or professional certification reimbursement. **What will you do?** + Monitor slot machines and fix ticket paper as needed + Perform adjustments and minor repairs to slot machines, resolving problems such as jams or machine tilts + Document the specifics of malfunctioning machines needing repair + Patrol assigned areas to ensure that players are following rules and machines are functioning correctly + Process jackpot payouts by company and state gaming procedures Responsibilities when acting as a supervisor + Follow New York State Gaming Commission regulations and procedures + Perform MOD (Manager on Duty) duties: make sound decisions with the best interest of the company in mind + Notify managers of any guest needs and requests for follow-up to ensure good guest relations + Schedule all shifts of the Floor Attendants, and track attendance + Lead by example in the skills of Guest service and positive interaction with associates, guests, and supervisors by mutual respect for all people’s needs + Demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations and maintain guest goodwill **More about you** + Must be 18 years of age + Ability to obtain and maintain a New York state gaming license + Ability to perform basic math calculations and accurately handle large sums of money + Basic slot machine knowledge preferred + Previous customer service experience + High School Diploma or equivalent required + Previous supervisor or management experience preferred **Physical requirements** + Frequent standing and walking for the entire length of the shift + Manual dexterity to handle machine repairs + Ability to lift to 30 pounds + Exposure to secondhand smoke **Shift details** Evenings Every weekend Holidays **Who we are** Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack, owned and operated by Delaware North, features more than 1,500 video gaming machines and brings the thrill of live thoroughbred racing from April to November and year-round simulcast wagering on thoroughbred and harness racing from across the country.
