DSP Advocate
Abound Health is seeking a DSP Advocate to join our team in a remote capacity within North Carolina. In this role, you will report to the Chief Engagement and Experience Officer. As a DSP Advocate, you will champion the experience of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) by providing support, guidance, education, and problem resolution. You will play a key role in improving DSP satisfaction, retention, and overall experience while upholding Abound Health’s mission, vision, and values. Key Responsibilities: + Advocate for DSPs by helping them understand employment benefits, resources, and support systems. + Resolve concerns by listening, documenting, and implementing acceptable resolutions. + Counsel supervisors and managers to improve DSP satisfaction and address emerging issues. + Provide training and user support on the OnTarget EHR system. + Maintain confidentiality and follow Abound Health’s policies and procedures. + Promote a positive, respectful atmosphere for DSPs and clients alike. + Ensure clients’ dignity, privacy, and safety by supporting abuse prevention, ethical behavior, and reporting requirements. Qualifications: + Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain adaptable in a fast-paced environment. + Understanding of ISP Implementation, task analysis, and goal writing. + Knowledge of Medicaid and third-party billing requirements. + Commitment to treating all individuals with dignity and respect. + Experience working in team-based environments with diverse populations. Education: + High School Diploma (required) Additional Requirements: + Must be at least 18 years of age + Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record + No substantiated findings of abuse and/or neglect + Successful completion of background checks (Criminal, LEIE, NC Health Care Registry, and Sexual Offender) Compensation & Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, hourly, non-exempt position is between $20.00 - $25.00. Base pay is determined by factors such as work location, experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, total compensation may include various other forms of pay. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive health, dental, and wellness benefits, which begin on your 60th day of employment.
