Pay Range: $22.52 - $33.78

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This employee will act as a Production Coordinator (back-up Crew Leader), responsible for overseeing and leading daily Dry Blend operations with the ability to perform Dry Blend technician job duties as needed. In addition, the employee will be responsible for coaching, developing, and mentoring team members. The Coordinator (backup Crew Leader) will ensure overall performance of the Dry Blend Team to meet objectives for quality, safety, sanitation, GMPs, customer service, process reliability and will be involved in leading line performance objectives. Participates in cross functional problem-solving activities, updates, creates and audits S.O.P.s and recommends/provides process improvement solutions. The coordinator (Back up Crew Leader) must be flexible and attentive to detail to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Distributes daily workload to fulfill department goals and requirements as assigned by crew leader Responsible for coaching, developing, and mentoring team members on production line processes Scheduling team vacations and arranging for manpower coverage when crew leader is absent Ensuring product meets quality standards by completing VSU audits Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, lead, and empower team members in a fast paced, ever-changing environment Participates in root cause analysis for failures, including recommendations and implementing solutions Coordinate teamwork among team members Participate in meetings for production tracking, problem solving and team development Building team member commitment Lead plant safety initiatives and ensure a safe work environment Support and lead the growth of McCormick’s High-Performance Work System Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Meets standards in overall performance rating in most recent performance review High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of Manufacturing experience required and 2 years of leadership experience preferred Demonstrated ability to use calculator, on-line systems including PC databases, Outlook, Excel and word processing required. Must have fork lift license & experience operating all types of material handling equipment, including reach, stand up, sit down, walking transporter & riding transporter. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast paced, everchanging environment. High level of numerical computation skills and analytical skills required. Must have excellent Communication skills. Must have excellent clerical and math skills with attention to detail. Ability to concentrate in high traffic area and ability to maintain confidential information required. Overtime on short notice required including weekends. Knowledge of SAP/ERP Warehouse Management System required PAPR/ Respirator required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Production experience desired. Receiving/Shipping experience desired. Overtime on short notice required.
