Driver / Shipping Support

Position Summary

The Driver / Shipping Support role is a dual-function position responsible for transporting materials to and from local suppliers, vendors, and customers — while also supporting daily shipping and warehouse functions during non-driving hours. This hybrid role ensures continuity in our shipping operations and contributes to our commitment to excellence in delivery and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Driving & Transportation

Operate company vehicles (van, pickup, box truck and forklift) to transport parts, materials, and documentation.Perform timely pickups and deliveries across Southern California.Verify contents, documentation, and condition of outgoing and incoming shipments.Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain delivery confirmations.Conduct pre-trip inspections and report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs.Maintain a clean driving record in accordance with company insurance requirements and safety policies.

Shipping & Warehouse Support

Assist in packing, labeling, and staging outgoing shipments per internal and customer specifications. Must support forklift needs when needed in the department.Process shipments through shipping software (e.g., UPS, FedEx, LTL systems).Help maintain a clean and organized shipping area and warehouse.Support inventory movement, material staging, and physical counts.Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming goods when needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.2+ years of driving and/or warehouse experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting.Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical work, including bending, lifting, and standing.Comfortable using basic shipping systems and working in a fast-paced environment.Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

Preferred Attributes

Experience in the aerospace or precision manufacturing industry.Familiarity with ERP or inventory systems.Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).Understanding of packaging and documentation requirements for aerospace parts (e.g., FOD control, lot traceability).Team-oriented with good communication skills.
