This position works in the back at the loading docks where the hi-lift trucks come in, taking the unloaded galleys, dismantling the galleys, and moving them into the dish room to be sorted and washed.  The position also moves the bar galleys onto the elevator where it goes to the commissary for dismantling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Separate customer equipment and stage as per assigned locationsEmpty airline garbage trolleysWash trolleys and carriers/unitsComply with Attendance PoliciesAttend and participate in regularly scheduled service and safety meetingsUphold company policies and safety standards

Education:

High school diploma or GED preferred

Work Experience:

RAIC highly desirable but not mandatoryAbility to obtain a RAIC is requiredAbility to pass a criminal check is requiredPrevious experience with loading and uploading cargo

Excellent communicator (oral and written), who demonstrates sound judgment, tact, and works well in high-pressure situationsAbility to work independently, organize work to ensure full proficiency and productivity is achievedAbility to handle high volume of work and maintain confidentialityAbility to be self-motivated  to work with minimal supervisionAbility to obtain required security clearanceMust understand and adhere to Health & Safety guidelines, including HACCPAbility to work in an environment that encourages and fosters teamwork, participation, creativity, honesty and mutual respectKnowledge of safe lifting techniques

Communication Skills:

Excellent communication skills in English required

Environmental Requirements:

Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noisesThis is a physically demanding position- regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours  Requires regular and repetitive heavy lifting (approx. 50lbs)Work overtime when requiredAbility to work shift work, which includes days, afternoons, nights weekends and holidays
