Clean Harbors
**Summary**
Clean Harbors is seeking a dedicated **Class A Driver** with 5–10 years of driving experience and **HAZMAT experience with endorsement** . You will be responsible for the safe transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste to company or outside disposal facilities while adhering to DOT, HAZMAT, and RCRA regulations. This position is ideal for a professional who takes pride in safety, reliability, and attention to detail.
**Pay & Hours:**
$31.00/hour
Monday – Friday, some Saturdays
Typical shift: 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM
**Responsibilities**
+ Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste (tank, van, roll-off dump trailer) safely and in compliance with DOT, HAZMAT, and RCRA regulations.
+ Communicate daily schedules, times, and demurrage with Coordinators.
+ Load and unload waste properly, ensuring segregation, weight compliance, and safe use of equipment.
+ Placard vehicles according to DOT and company requirements.
+ Maintain accurate logs, worksheets, timecards, expense reports, dispatch/trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
+ Maintain and clean assigned equipment; ensure vehicles are mechanically sound and safe.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
**Education & Experience:**
+ High School diploma or equivalent required.
+ **5–10 years of Class A driving experience** required.
**HAZMAT experience and endorsement required.**
+ Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to make real-time decisions in the field.
+ Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Proficiency with mobile computer devices.
+ Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, move drums up to 800 lbs with a dolly, and flex bins up to 1,500 lbs with a pallet jack.
+ Ability to climb ladders, reach overhead, and inspect under vehicles.
**Other Requirements:**
+ Travel required >75%.
+ Medium Work: Frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs, standing 4–6 hours, occasional pushing/pulling.
