The Opportunity
We are actively seeking a new Telecommunications Draughtsperson to join our team and will be reporting directly to the Draughting Manager. this role will specifically be a 12 month fixed term contract.
To support the Downer business by;
Applying knowledge of telecommunications networks, records systems and standards to create and maintain drawing records and databases depicting the respective customer’s telecommunications networks.Providing appropriate support to field and office staff with respect to the interpretation of telecommunication network records.Coordinate with Downer, their customers and other staff as necessary to help develop and refine record systems, standards, processes and documentation.What we are looking for
A knowledge of telecommunications network technologies and practices, including those of our major customers.Experience in the use of GIS and CAD software, preferably in a telecommunication or utilities environmentSkilled in relevant customer software systems and other computer software use / access as requiredWell-developed organisational skillsGood communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide variety of team members, contractors and customersThe ability to incorporate innovation into work processes and outputsA sound understanding of the financial parameters of the Draughting functionA positive attitude and commitment to providing a high quality of serviceThe ability to work well within a team as well as on sole-charge workAble to work under pressure and to deadlinesWhat we offer
