Drafting/Design Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Revit Drafting/Design Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and drafting of HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for commercial and industrial projects. You will play a key role in ensuring that all designs meet industry standards, building codes, and client specifications.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed MEP system designs using Revit and AutoCAD for commercial and industrial facilities.Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and fellow designers to ensure cohesive project execution.Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.Ensure all designs comply with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and best practices.Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of drafting standards and workflows.Maintain organized documentation and version control of design files.Required Skills & QualificationsProficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software.1–3 years of hands-on experience with Revit in a professional setting.Solid understanding of MEP systems and construction documentation.Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and installation practices.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Preferred QualificationsAssociate’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).Familiarity with VDC (Virtual Design and Construction)and BIM (Building Information Modeling)processes.Experience with piping design and coordination in a multi-disciplinary environment.Knowledge of clash detection tools and model coordination platforms is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $38.46/hr.
