**Drafter/Designer** Location **Billings** Secondary Locations **Salt Lake City** Job Code **18415** \# of openings **1** Apply Now (https://phh.tbe.taleo.net/phh04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=POWERENGINEERS&cws=44&rid=18415) **Drafter/Designer** POWER Engineers,Member of WSPis currently seeking a Drafter/Designer to join our Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department in our Billings, Montana and Salt Lake City, Utah office. This person will be part of a dynamic team that provides engineering services to our clients across the country and abroad. **Responsibilities** The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, supporting, and coordinating the following: + POWER Culture + Foster our culture of “Do good, Have fun, Build Success” + Develop innovative client-focused solutions + Demonstrate a high level of personal initiative + Encourage growth, engagement, and accountability among team members + Work in a team environment to solve and build strong internal and external relationships + Technical Requirements and Development + Develop working knowledge of Client/Power CAD Standards and Compliance. + Adhere to POWER’s QA/QC procedure requiring upmost personal accountability to enhance the project team’s success. + Maintain a high level of drafting quality and efficiency in alignment with project scope and budget. + Develop an understanding in both AutoCADD and MicroStation to support project requirements, which include: + Vicinity Maps + Structure List + Plan and Profiles + Phasing Drawings + Foundation Drawings + Structure Assembly Drawings + Permit and Crossing Drawings + Load and Design Drawings + Through drafting assignments and project work, seek to gain a transmission line understanding beyond just the redline mark-ups. + Travel to client offices/field/vendor facilities as needed. **Required Education/Experience:** + Associates degree or 1-year certificate in drafting (or equivalent technical degree) + AutoCAD 2020-2025 experience + Adobe PDF creation + Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously + Time management and organizational skills are essential + Must be flexible to changes in work assignments as changes occur in project needs + Must be able to self-check own work for completeness and accuracy + Able to read and interpret drawings and drawing mark-ups + Able to use architectural and engineering scale to read and create drawings + The candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with other team members **Preferred Education/Experience:** + Experience with AutoCAD + Experience with MicroStation is a plus + Knowledge of MS Office products + Good background in basic mathematics + Experience working with 3D drafting and detailing is a plus + Bluebeam Revu experience is a plus + Working knowledge of survey coordinate systems is a plus + Practical intern or utility industry experience is preferred POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is a global consulting environmental and engineering firm and one of the top design firms in the energy sector.
