Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Drafter for a facility in Gallatin. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to develop and refine your drafting skills while working on a variety of projects involving mechanical, structural, and sheet metal fabrication drawings.
Responsibilities
Prepare finished 2D drawings in AutoCAD by entering specifications, dimensions, and other necessary details.
Support the engineering department by developing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).Design concrete footings, structural steel, and custom machines, and conduct part selection from the design library.Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and drafting.Certificate in Drafting or an Associate's degree in Draft/Design.At least 1+ year of recent AutoCAD experience is highly preferred.Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude, especially the ability to work with fractions.Inventor and 3D experience is a plus but not required.Previous experience in mechanical drafting and design is beneficial.Work Environment
This role primarily involves working in an office setting, with the possibility of occasional visits to the manufacturing floor once familiar with the processes. The facility is a blend of corporate and manufacturing environments, focusing on designing, manufacturing, installing, and servicing pneumatic paper waste collection systems for various industries. The team includes three other CAD drafters, all reporting to the VP of Engineering.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
