Donations/Gift Processer
Description Position Summary: The Donation Processing Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the Development team, with a focus on accurately processing and recording charitable contributions. This position ensures the integrity of donor data, facilitates timely acknowledgments, and assists in individual giving initiatives and administrative projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to delivering exceptional donor service. Key Responsibilities: Development Operations / Gift Processing + Accurately process all donations received via onsite, online, and third-party channels (e.g., workplace giving platforms, donor-advised funds, etc.). + Enter and maintain donor and gift information in the CRM system, ensuring proper gift coding, soft credits, solicitor attribution, and donor recognition data. + Manage recurring mailing processes related to donor acknowledgments, tribute notifications, and tax receipts. Individual Giving Support + Assist with donor stewardship activities, including drafting and sending thank-you notes and acknowledgments. + Support Development team members in donor engagement and administrative projects, including event preparation, list generation, and data cleanup. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree required. + 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit gift processing or relevant CRM/database experience. + Proficiency with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and/or Raiser’s Edge NXT strongly preferred. + Familiarity with Classy (now GoFundMe Pro) and other online giving platforms a plus. + Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook). + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Self-starter who thrives in both team-oriented and independent work environments.
