Domestic Logistics Analyst

**JOB SUMMARY**
Coordinate all aspects of inland logistic functions. Coordinate smooth inland moves through proper carrier selection and follow up with suppliers, Sysco Redistribution facilities, Freight Forwarders, and Sysco Operating Companies. Build relationships with carrier partners and negotiates on a spot basis to meet customer requirements as well as analyze cost saving strategies. Update and maintain data that is presented to inside and outside customers, vendors and carriers. Assure timely and accurate costing of freight for spot rating and long term bids. Administer procedures to ensure near zero nonconformance rates. Identify service failures and correct as quickly and completely as possible.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Analyze service failures and negative cost impacts to bring immediate resolution as well as future procedural changes to ensure service quality
+ Based on daily volume fluctuations and transit requirements determine carriers to be used to best fit customer needs.
+ Process OS&D’s for both 134 and 344 OpCo and communicate with Merchandising, Operations, Vendors, and carriers on resolution and responsibility
+ Communicate daily with Carriers on Service level, missed pickups, missed deliveries, and on time status
+ Assure freight cost accuracy by comparing cost protected to carrier contracts and provide quote requests to sales and merchandising
+ Choose outbound FTL and LTL inland carriers to be used (including export moves to Mexican border) based on customer requirement and carrier pricing. Tender outbound loads to carrier once selection process has been completed.
+ Communicate FTZ inland deliveries, follow inland customs clearance and administer cost on inland Canadian shipments
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education**
+ HSD or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
**Experience**
+ 5 years inland Logistics
**Professional Skills**
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to effectively communicate in English. Fluency in Spanish preferred.
