The Northrop Grumman Military Internship Program (NG-MIP) is an approved SkillBridge Program under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29 . NG-MIP is an opportunity for transitioning service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through an individual internship during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days. The Northrop Grumman Military Internship Program is open to all ranks and experience levels. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Northrop Grumman, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.

Responsibilities for this internship position are:

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) has developed the Northrop Grumman – Military Internship Program (DoD SKillbridge) utilizing the DoDI guidance for Skillbridge. During this program the service member will be on-site at his or her host company performing an individual internship in an entry to mid-level career type role. The service member will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40hrs per week. Outlined below are the Goals, Objectives, and Outcomes for the program.

Goals – Provide transitioning service members fellowship-style job skills training during the last portion(s) of their military commitment. This program is specifically designed to offer internships that result in the potential to transition to a full-time opportunity as the conclusion of the training. Interns will serve as a pipeline for high-speed, motivated military candidates into NGC.

Objectives - Service Members who complete the Intern program will be highly trained, capable, future employees that align to the specific needs of the organization and are prepared to meet the NG mission “Defining Possible” on Day 1. This program provides a comprehensive internship experience including professional development, networking with leadership, and training specifically focused on NG leadership principles, company history, customer/stakeholder engagement, product and service overview, and core job responsibilities.

Outcome – Offer transitioning service member a rewarding opportunity to join the Northrop Grumman team.

DoD SkillBridge Eligibility:

· Has served at least 180 days on active duty

· Is within 12 months of separation or retirement

· Will receive an honorable discharge

· Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS

· Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months

· Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.

Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an Industrial Security Analyst - Level 2, to join our Payload & Ground Systems team in Aurora, CO. In this job, you will:

Oversee classified security programs and provide expertise in all security functions as the FSO, CPSO, and/or CSSO in accordance with the DoD Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals (DoD Manual 5205.07 Volumes 1-4), Sensitive Compartmented Information Administrative Manuals (DoD Manual 5105.21 Volumes 1-3), Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), IC Technical Specification (IC Tech Spec) for ICD/ICS 705, the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) - 32 CFR Part 117, and other applicable security regulations and requirements

Ensure compliance with government and corporate security policies/procedures

Ensure adherence to contractual guidance for classified programs and cleared facilities in accordance with DD Form 254, DoD Contract Security Classification Specifications guidance. Have a general knowledge of how proposal work is conducted

Assist program managers and professional staff in the interpretation, application and compliance with program Security Classification Guides (SCG)

Provide program security and personnel security (PERSEC) support to include but not limited to review and process required documentation in support of the DoD, SAP and/or SCI nomination processes; prepare and administer program indoctrination and debriefings; access, review and submit clearance/access information using DISS, NISS, JADE, and other information systems to include IC; maintain PERSEC databases in accordance with customer tracking requirements; maintain and operate document control register/database; process and manage incoming and outgoing visit authorizations and visitor control.  Will processes Request for Access (RFA’s) for all program personnel to which you are assigned

Provide facility security administration, documentation and management support: draft and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); conduct DoD, SAP and/or SCI security program self-inspections; manage inventory of accountable holdings in accordance with the policies and procedures; prepare and submit status reports to applicable government agencies; administer and manage classified destruction program; serve as the focal point for receiving, processing, distributing, and controlling all classified documentation (hard copy and electronic media) entering or leaving the facility, including electronic data transfer; maintain suspense copies of all material transported via courier and perform follow-up, as needed

Pursue and obtain customer accreditation for DoD Closed Areas, Special Access Program Facilities (SAPFs) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) in accordance with SAP and SCI DoD Manuals, IC Tech Spec, and other government requirements (physical security, facility security and access control, network and IT security, cryptography, personnel, etc.).  This includes working hand in hand with the Informational Security (ISSO) team

Develop, coordinate, and submit for approval physical security documentation including Fixed Facility Checklists (FFC) and TEMPEST Addendums as applicable

Manage and maintain UL-2050 Compliant Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and automated Access Control Systems (ACS)

Ensure the development, documentation, and presentation of classified security education, awareness, and training activities

Analyze, investigate, and resolve classified security issues while providing leadership and guidance to employees, supervisors, managers on actions(s) to be taken to ensure compliance with the classified security program

Maintain liaison with government agencies, external customers, contractors, employees, and managers

Review and verify personnel security clearances and SAP/SCI accesses through queries to government security databases and systems

Generate and/or review Program Access Request (PAR) packages; ensure all required information is included including currency of information, completeness of forms, and inclusion of required signatures. Generate Program Indoctrination Agreements (PIA), provide to briefer/debriefer, and/or execute briefs/debriefs on behalf of the government security team

Maintain accountability of classified material or classified media as required by contract(s).

Implement policies and procedures for responding to security incidents, and for investigating and reporting security violations and incidents

Primary Document Control & Media accountability custodian for the campus.

Backup/Alternate COMSEC Custodian for the campus.

Assist with physical security requirements, visitor control/visit certs, and escorting

Backup to the OneBadge office

Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree

Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree

Must be able to implement the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule, DODM 5205.07 SAP Manuals volumes 1-4, DODM 5105.21 volumes 1-3

Familiarity with the following: ICD 705, ICD 704, and ICD 503

Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) approval by the employment start date

Preferred Qualifications:

Current counterintelligence scoped polygraph

Experience with JADE, DISS, NISS, SIMS, SCATTERED CASTLES or similar data bases

Experience as a Data Transfer Agent for control of media (training is provided)

Working knowledge of DoD, SAP and SCI programs to provide procedural and policy guidance

Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
