What You Will Do:

Manage workload, lead, supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff, ensuring effective performance and development.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk and internal controls for End-to-End business processes in a future state financial system implementation

Develop and maintain internal controls for the to-be environment that aligns with financial accounting and reporting objectives (e.g., FASAB, GAO, OMB, TFM, etc.), federal regulation, and best practices for different business process areas.

Perform risk assessments, analyze master data requirements, and business processes risks identifying controls to include areas for automation and standardization.

Maintain a thorough understanding of client's issues, applicable and relevant federal laws, regulations, and policies that impact financial and operation business processes.

Collaborate and communicate with clients and other stakeholders to include preparing and presenting strategy and work products

Conduct research to investigate client questions or needs and work collaboratively with other teams to formulate and recommend solutions.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance effectiveness


What You Will Need:

An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance

Bachelor's degree

FIVE (5) years of financial management or audit experience

Deep audit, federal accounting and reporting knowledge, and related requirements to include FASAB and GAO standards, relevant federal laws, regulations, and policies including OMB Circular A-123, Appendix A, B, and C; the GAO Green Book; the Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990; Federal Managers’ Financial Integrity Act of 1982 (FMFIA); and Payment Integrity Information Act of 2019 (PIIA).

Excellent communicator (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lead and manage teams.

Experience in internal control assessments, or performing financial statement audits, within the federal government.

Demonstrates knowledge of federal financial management in relation to:

Executive communications and reporting

Risk assessment and Internal controls

What Would Be Nice To Have:

Advanced Degree

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Information System Auditory (CISA) licensed by a state licensing agency.

Experience with DoD and/or the Department of the Navy.

Familiarity with SAP and financial system requirements.
