Document Translator- Intern - UniFirst

We are seeking a proficient intern to join our team to assist in the translation of existing artifacts to French. The ideal candidate must be capable of translating content into French Canadian through the use of AI. The primary focus will be on translating approved and edited content, using AWS and MadCap Flare.

Responsibilities:

Translate and adapt content into French Canadian using translation tool, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure accuracy and clarity in documentation.Comply with documentation standards, policies, and procedures.Adapt and update documentation based on feedback and new information.Report status, issues, and risks to the Manager on a regular basis.Perform ad-hoc activities as required.
Qualifications
College Intern working on Bachelor’s degree with Technical Writing or IT skillsFluent in French language, a plus.Excellent writing and communication skills.Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize effectively.High level of self-motivation and desire to grow in the role.Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a virtual team environment.Solution-oriented with strong analysis skills.Ability to critically evaluate information from multiple sources.Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint and Teams.Preferred: Intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS.Preferred: Experience with MadCap Flare is a plus, but training can be provided.Preferred: Experience with AWS TranslateExperience using help authoring tools such as MadCap Flare or AWS Translate is preferred, but not required.
