Docketing Coordinator
Description A nationally recognized law firm with a strong presence in San Francisco is seeking a Docketing Coordinator to join its litigation team. This role will primarily support attorneys in Insurance Defense and Labor & Employment, ensuring accurate and timely management of all litigation deadlines and calendaring functions. The Docketing Coordinator will play a critical role in maintaining the firm’s docketing systems, monitoring litigation deadlines, and ensuring attorneys have the resources and reminders needed to meet all court and client requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with docketing software, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities + Monitor, calculate, and track litigation deadlines for filings, motions, and responses to ensure compliance with court rules. + Maintain docketing databases with accuracy (Aderant Milana preferred; CompuLaw or ProLaw highly valued). + Generate regular reports and reminders for attorneys and staff. + Review court notices, filings, and correspondence to update case calendars promptly. + Organize and manage docketing records to ensure accuracy and consistency across matters. + Collaborate with attorneys and staff to address docketing inquiries and resolve scheduling conflicts. + Provide general administrative support to litigation teams as needed. Requirements Qualifications + Minimum 3+ years of docketing and litigation calendaring experience in a law firm environment. + Proficiency with Aderant Milana, CompuLaw, or ProLaw required. + Strong knowledge of federal and California state court rules and filing procedures. + Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in deadline management. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. + Must be able to report 3 days onsite in the San Francisco office (days flexible).
