Your Opportunity

The Dock Checker examines and records materials transported by truck to or from site of excavation.

Core ResponsibilitiesExamines loads delivered to verify quantity and type of material.Writes tickets showing quantity and type of material, truck number, job location, and time.Reports amount of materials transported.Maintains clean work environment.Other duties as assigned.In the absence of key personnel, the employee’s supervisor or qualified designee (one that has been trained in the key employee’s duties) is responsible to complete or delegate the completion of all required tasks and responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training.Language Skills: Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between works and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Certification to operate equipment.Must have established record of excellent attendance and safety.

The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
