Divisional Accountant

Reports to: Head of Finance – Power Projects and Industrial & Power Generation
The opportunity
This is a newly created opportunity for a Divisional Accountant to join our Energy & Utilities business, supporting the Industrial & Power Generation portfolio. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for delivering consolidated financial insights, reporting and forecasting to support strategic decision-making across the business.
You will work closely with executive leaders and operational finance teams, providing commercial clarity and ensuring accuracy across multiple sub-lines of business. This is a key role within a high-performing national finance team, offering strong career growth and a hybrid working model to support work-life balance.
What you’ll do
Prepare and maintain consolidated financial forecasts, including Profit & Loss, Risk & Opportunity registers and work-in-hand dataSupport monthly business reviews by delivering timely and accurate reports and commercial insightReport on working capital positions, including WIP and debtors, identifying trends and areas requiring actionMaintain governance and compliance across financial reporting functionsAssist with other financial reporting and analysis as required by the Head of FinanceWhat we offer

Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Commerce; CA or CPA qualified or working towardsExperience in large, complex corporate environments or professional servicesStrong Excel skills and financial modelling capabilityExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial insightsDetail-oriented with strong initiative and a continuous improvement mindsetAbout Energy & Utilities
