Job Description:

The Division Order (DOI) Supervisor is responsible for managing DOI analysts to ensure the proper distribution of revenues obtained from oil and/or gas production. This supervisor will oversee daily work assignments, manage team performance, and serve as a vital link between management and the DOI team, ensuring productivity and effective communication. This supervisor will work closely with a set number of employees to ensure they meet organizational standards and respective work deadlines. They will understand bpx energy’s culture and procedures to train new hires and ensure that employees uphold the values of bpx through daily work activities. They will be responsible for writing performance evaluations and managing employee career paths.

The DOI team is responsible for setting up ownership decks for new wells, maintaining existing mineral ownership, researching complex title issues, engaging with audit and legal teams, and interacting with working interest partners and royalty owners. The DOI supervisor role requires an individual who has exceptional communication capabilities and is skilled at analyzing complex title matters, lease agreements and other legal documents to uphold the integrity of bpx’s ownership decks.

Key Accountabilities

Team Management: Oversee the workflow of the team, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Performance Monitoring: Continuously evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and coaching to help team members improve and meet organizational goals.

Communication: Function as a liaison between management and the team, relaying essential information, updates, and company goals to the team.

Conflict Resolution: Address interpersonal disputes and work-related issues, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring team cohesion.

Training and Development: Responsible for onboarding new employees and providing ongoing training to enhance team skills and knowledge.

Resource Management: Manage resources, including time, tools, and budgets, to ensure that daily work responsibilities run smoothly and efficiently.

Innovation: Support the delivery of process improvements, collaborating with team members to implement continuous improvement plans and enhance reporting capabilities, while ensuring best practice is shared across the team.

Emotional Intelligence: Understanding and managing emotions in the workplace is crucial for maintaining a positive team dynamic.

Essential Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required, (MBA, JD preferred)

10+ years Division Order experience.

Demonstrated experience as a people leader, manage performance and develop and mentor talent on the team

Able to understand and analyze complex ownership issues, identify alternative responses, and confidently select an appropriate course of action to achieve the desired outcome.

Experience with SAP PRA is preferred as well as Microsoft Office 365, emphasis on having advanced Excel skills.

Experience implementing and managing process improvement and automation.

How much do we pay (Base) $150,000 - $185,000. Note that the pay range listed for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
