Shenandoah University’s Division of Counselor Education is accepting applications for a Division Coordinator. This is a fulltime, benefited position located in the Health Professions Building in Winchester, VA.
The Division Coordinator of Counselor Education plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless management and operational efficiency of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, and Music Therapy and Professional Counseling Programs. This individual manages all daily administrative functions, provides direct support to the Division Director, and serves as the primary liaison for students, faculty, and staff. In general, the Division Coordinator performs administrative duties, provides technical assistance to faculty and staff, maintains the fiscal year budget, conducts studies and prepares reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Supervises the administrative aspects of the office to insure proper functioning of day to day operations
+ Provides support to the director and faculty members of the program
+ Provides support and logistical planning for all activities within the division including:
+ Admissions
+ Interviews
+ Student onboarding
+ Orientation
+ Registration
+ Student communication for all programs
+ Communicates with prospective and current student
+ Partners with Marketing for recruiting and marketing purposes
+ Partners with SU’s Human Resources’ office to develop and maintain part-time adjunct contracts.
+ Communicates with the Registrar’s Office regarding the graduate catalog, semester class schedules and graduation.
Required Skills
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
+ Previous office work experience
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills
+ Proficiency in navigating the online learning environment
+ Ability to effectively deliver and receive constructive feedback
+ Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and academic leadership
+ Competency in digital tools including Microsoft Office, Zoom, Google Suite, and Canvas
