Description
We are looking for a hands-on Division Controller to lead the financial operations of multiple companies within our client's organization, located in Milan, Tennessee. This role is ideal for a proactive and strategic individual who excels in financial analysis, cost accounting, and process improvement. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping a culture of analytics while ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial processes.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Perform detailed reconciliations, journal entries, and costing analyses to maintain financial accuracy.
• Implement and manage job costing systems to support project-based accounting needs.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial statements, demonstrating initiative and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial plans.
• Drive the transition to an analytic-focused culture, encouraging proactive financial decision-making.
• Monitor compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize QuickBooks Online and other financial tools to manage and analyze financial data across three companies.
• Partner with senior management to identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and operational improvements.
• Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to support business decisions.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or controllership roles.
• Proven expertise in manufacturing cost accounting and job costing.
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online and other financial software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead month-end close processes and financial reconciliations.
• Excellent analytical skills, with a focus on identifying and resolving financial issues.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with leadership.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
