Essential Functions:
General Ledger/Financial Statements
Review and analyze to extract useful metrics/data to measure performanceSupport General Manger analyzing variance analysis compared to budget / forecast monthly quarterlyBudgeting/Forecasting
Support the field by providing monthly - quarterly analysis and training as necessaryAssist operational managers monthly / quarterly / yearly with the preparation, presentation to Region / Area leadershipAccounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Assist with any analysis, coding, questions, or issuesProvide billing/revenue analysis as directedProvide accounts receivable and collections analysis as directedFixed Assets
Assist Capex budgeting, planning & Assets RequisitionAcquisitions/Divestitures/Swaps/Municipal and other Bids
Participate in the review, analysis, due diligence, proforma’s, for business units as directed by the Regional ControllerPricing
Assist with reporting price and volume resultsAssist regional teams with implementation and communication of pricing initiativesAudit
Assist Companies’ Internal audit teams as neededEnsure sites compliance with company policies and proceduresOther
Partner with regional teams or other Executives, or individually as directed, to financial and operational matters as requested/requiredParticipate in training of operational staff as neededAdditional Responsibilities:
Assist in conformance with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.Assist region controllers, depending on workloadsPerform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.Education, Training, Experience and Licensing/Certification Requirements:
Accounting/Business BA or BS Degree from a four (4) year college or university (minimum)Minimum Three (3) years of experience as a Controller in a medium to large business environment.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Possess excellent leadership, presentation, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to focus on details, identify and solve problemsAbility to work alone or work collaboratively with othersStrong organizational skillsAdvanced computer skills: Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, & Powerpoint)Knowledge/experience with Cognos, Tower, and TRUX a plusPhysical/Mental Demands:
Ability to travel to and walk landfills, transfer stations, material recycling facilities, and hauling facilities. Ability to communicate with various Management Levels inside and outside of the Company.Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlinesWorking Conditions:
Work in indoor trucking office environment.Moderate travel required within market area.
