SEA LIFE at Mall of America is searching for a passionate and safety-minded **Part-Time Diver** to join our Displays Team! If you’re looking for a unique opportunity to work behind the scenes (and _under the water_ ), this is your chance to make a splash 🌟. **Qualifications & Experience** **💼 What You’ll Do:** As a Diver, you’ll help maintain our world-class exhibits and ensure our animals live in clean, healthy, and enriching environments. You’ll also play a key role in making sure our underwater displays look amazing for our guests! 🧽🐟 **Key Responsibilities:** + 🤿 Assist with daily dive operations, following dive plans and safety procedures + 🧼 Clean and maintain underwater habitats in large-volume tanks (70,000+ gallons!) + 🐢 Participate in underwater animal handling for health checks + 🛟 Act as Dive Tender (Topside/Tunnel), follow safety protocols, and take part in regular drills + ✅ Ensure compliance with OSHA, Merlin Health & Safety Policy (HS001), and US Dive Safety Manual **🎯 What We’re Looking For:** + ✔️ Valid **Rescue Diver Certification** from a recognized agency (PADI, NAUI, etc.) + ➕ **Preferred** : 1–2 years of recent dive experience in a public aquarium or similar setting + 💪 Ability to dive with a variety of marine life including sharks, eels, and rays + 🩺 Can pass a dive physical and swim test within 3 months of hire + 🧠 Up-to-date First Aid, CPR, AED, and Emergency O2 certifications (or willingness to obtain) + 🛠️ Comfortable performing underwater maintenance and using PPE as required **🐚 You’ll Thrive In This Role If You:** + Have great communication and teamwork skills + Can work independently and stay organized + Enjoy working in a dynamic, ever-changing environment + Are flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed + Love marine life and want to be part of a mission-driven organization! 🌎💙 **📍 Work Environment & Physical Requirements:** + Work in varying temperatures, wet floors, and loud conditions + Able to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs + Must not have any impairments or allergies that interfere with animal care or diving **🕒 Hours & Schedule:** This is a **part-time position** with a flexible schedule.
