Additional responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing the software plugins that transform technical documentation in DITA XML to a variety of delivery formats. You will also help maintain and enhance our toolset for converting existing MS Word documents to DITA XML. Other tasks include converting content from MS Word to DITA, and editing content post-conversion to ensure accuracy and quality.

Maintain and enhance toolset for converting Word documents to DITA XML.
Enhance the toolset used by Technical Writers for authoring in DITA XML.
Enhance software plugins used to publish documentation in DITA XML to HTML and PDF.
Troubleshoot conversion errors.
Troubleshoot publishing errors.
Convert content from Word format to DITA XML.
Edit and review converted content to improve quality and fix conversion errors.
Review content to eliminate duplication, potentially designing a way to automate this task.
Work closely with Technical Writers to verify conversions.
Support Technical Writers by using a DITA CCMS, including troubleshooting errors and creating wiki content.
Create training videos as needed.
