✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth!  Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a District Special Education Coordinator at The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas✨

AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical and an outdoor recreation area. Pay: starting at $87,000 a year, can increase based on level of education and experience

What you will do: As the Special Education Coordinator, you will provide leadership and oversight for district-wide special education services, ensuring that students with exceptional needs receive high-quality, individualized instruction. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and monitoring programs that support student success, guiding staff in implementing effective practices, and maintaining compliance with all state and federal requirements. You will coordinate IEP processes, oversee assessments and student records, and collaborate closely with families, school staff, and outside agencies to ensure services are delivered with accuracy and care. By supervising and supporting educational teams, you will foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and student-centered practice, serving as a trusted resource and advocate for both students and staff.

To be considered you should: Possess a Master’s Degree in Special Education ~ Have a minimum of five years of teaching experience ~ Have a minimum of five years of supervisory experience ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry ~ currently have an active Teacher certification in Special Education

Schedule:  Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
