District Sales and Operations Manager (DSOM)

The District Sales and Operations Manager oversees a multi-store district of corporate-owned stores. This role is responsible for driving the execution of key business strategies to achieve goals in sales, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and profitability. The District Sales and Operations Manager will provide strategic leadership, direction, and support to store teams and partners to foster growth, optimize performance, and ensure alignment with company standards. This role will serve as a key liaison between the field and corporate operations.

Candidates must reside in the Kansas City, MO, or Denver, CO, metropolitan areas. This position is not open to remote applicants outside these locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership

Build and lead high-performing teams that consistently deliver exceptional customer service and operational standards. Foster a results-driven culture through consistent communication of expectations, performance metrics, and coaching. Identify talent and mentor Store Managers to support future growth. Provide constructive feedback and ongoing development opportunities to staff. Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning initiatives in partnership with HR and corporate leadership.

Store Operations

Drive operational excellence across stores by providing direction with all company policies and procedures, including safety, inventory ordering procedures, and return process. Conduct store visits and report findings. Track progress and ensure resolution of identified issues. Support the roll-out and execution of new programs and operational tools; provide hands-on training to Store Managers and associates. Support recruiting, interviewing, and hiring efforts for assigned stores. Provide hiring resources during new store openings or transitions. Champion community engagement efforts within assigned territories.

Business Planning and Results

Analyze financial performance and develop plans for stores based on profit and loss (P&L) results to increase profitability and operational efficiency. Provide strategic sales leadership by executing key processes that drive high performance and achieve budgeting goals. Evaluate store Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including merchandising, promotional execution, store appearance, and inventory accuracy. Address performance gaps with follow-up planning and coaching.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum 3 years of store retail management experience. Previous multi-location experience preferred. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to maintain effective business relationships with peers, senior management, customers, and vendors. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to rent a car and/or personal transportation.

The working conditions for this role consist of office and retail environments. This position regularly requires frequent talking, hearing, standing, walking, using

hands, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Occasional tasks may include sitting, kneeling, crouching, or reaching overhead.

This position regularly requires the employee to use a vehicle, computer, phone, and other standard office equipment. Ability to travel up to 90%, including overnight stays required.
