Your Role:
At MilliporeSigma, the Distribution Team Lead is responsible for performing core warehouse and distribution job elements. They are responsible for meeting or exceeding performance expectations, ensuring job accuracy, following health and safety guidelines, and complying with company and regulatory requirements. This position is based in St. Louis at 2425 South Second.
Responsibilities:
Distribution Team Lead may be required to work both 1st and 2nd shiftMaintains orders, work areas and stock locations in a safe, clean, and organized mannerReports unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to any member of management and assists in the solutions of issuesAssists Supervisor(s) and works in a lead technical capacity to maintain workflow in department – ability to allocate resources appropriatelyParticipates in and supports the development and implementation of process improvement projects and leads test cycles to challenge current practices, improve system efficiency, enhance customer service, training and maintain complianceTroubleshoot problems within the department – including root cause analysis and development of solutions to avoid future occurrencesAssist with testing changes in systemic programs and operational processesPerform quality checks or audits to ensure procedures are being followed correctly
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED2+ Years of experience in a Warehouse or Shipping setting1+ Years of experience in a leadership, management, or supervisory role
Preferred Qualifications:
Operational experience in a Distribution Center or in Chemical ManufacturingTime management skillsCommunication skills, verbal, listening and writtenKnowledge on training staff in new or existing processes and/or proceduresUnderstanding of overall DC operationsKnowledge of hazardous storage, and shipping regulationsKnowledge in operating a PC and working knowledge of word processing, SAP and spreadsheet software
