Distribution Sales Development Manager

Ecolab is seeking a Distributor Sales Development Manager to help grow our Institutional business, which offers comprehensive chemical products and solutions to meet the needs of customers across the foodservice and hospitality industries. Customers include restaurants, hotels, schools, long-term care facilities, and more. You will serve as the face of Ecolab, providing recommendations on advanced cleaning and sanitation processes and programs that drive a positive guest experience and create cleaner, safer, and healthier environments.

What You Will Do:

Increase Ecolab Institutional market share. Target markets will include, but are not limited to - Health and Aged Care (public and private), Hospitality (Hotel/Motels), Government facilities (Armed forces), Private Schools, Local Government, Restaurants, Facility Care.

Achieve validated new business sales targets established as part of the budgeting process.

Ensure growth via new business is profitable by working to strict pricing guidelines

Conduct technical surveys to ensure a targeted Ecolab program

Prepare and present presentations to convey the Ecolab value proposition and secure new business

Construct basic customer rollout plans to ensure the customer and field team clearly understand the expectation

Work with the field team and act as the one voice of Ecolab during prospecting, proposals and presentations

Manage the relationship transition to the Regional sales team or Corporate Accounts

Build and foster industry contacts via networking, trade shows, functions and distributor events

Work in collaboration with Ecolab operational teams, internal support functions and Distributor salespeople to achieve and maintain growth of new business accounts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Extensive sales experience

Willing to be on call during off hours and weekends

Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous sales development experience within the Institutional market sectors

A solid understanding of Ecolab products, services and systems with a focus on their application in the Institutional markets.

Be results-orientated and possess a strong track record in a business to business selling role

Be accustomed to growing the business by negotiating and winning new business at the executive level

Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills

Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills

Possess exceptional negotiation skills and a passion to deliver and exceed client expectations
