Distribution Requirement Planner

What we need-
The Distribution Requirement Planner is responsible for consolidating and aligning demand signals from multiple distribution centers and customer locations. This role ensures optimal inventory planning, timely replenishment, and product availability across the network. The planner will also manage and reconcile instrument loaner inventory deployed at various locations in collaboration with sales and customer teams, ensuring full visibility, traceability, and turnaround of assets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Demand Alignment & Planning:
+ Aggregate and validate demand from all distribution centers and customer locations, aligning with monthly sales plans and historical trends, Generate location-specific requirement plans based on forecast, consumption trends, inventory levels and urgent orders, Communicate requirement plans with central supply planning teams for timely fulfillment.
2. Hub & Distribution Centre Coordination:
+ Coordinate with each hub to align short-term and long-term demand with available and in-transit inventory, Propose inter-hub stock transfers or redistribution based on demand priorities and stock aging, track backorders and escalate high-risk shortages.
3. Customer and Sales Alignment:
+ Align closely with sales teams to anticipate requirements and customer-wise demand patterns, Review and reconcile stock deployed at customer sites against billing and consumption, Ensure accurate tagging of consigned inventory vs. billable stock and update system records accordingly, Address discrepancies between on-ground usage and system-reported inventory.
4. Supply Planning and Inventory Controls:
+ Ensure optimal inventory levels across hubs based on safety stock, reorder points, and lead times, Identify and mitigate risks related to excess, slow-moving, or obsolete stock, Track stock in transit, GIT status, and ensure visibility to relevant teams.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
+ Act as a central coordination point between demand planning, supply planning, sales, customer service, and logistics, Lead or participate in monthly review meetings, providing location-level insights, Provide timely inputs on demand signals, critical SKUs, and allocation priorities.
Preferred Skills:
+ Experience working in MedTech/Healthcare or equipment-intensive industries.
+ Familiarity with field inventory control processes and its planning and lifecycle management.
+ Understanding of planning classifications (ABC, XYZ, FMR) and service-level-driven planning.
