Distribution Field Technician
Job Title: Distribution Field Technician

Job Description

The Distribution Field Technician will work collaboratively with another technician to utilize KATAPULT on-site, taking pictures of poles and sending them to the designer. The designer will communicate with the client to ensure that the pictures accurately capture the necessary data.

ResponsibilitiesUtilize KATAPULT on-site to capture images of power poles.Communicate effectively with the designer to ensure proper data capture.Travel weekly around Georgia and surrounding states, including overnight stays.Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including high heat.

Essential SkillsAbility to travel extensively during the week and stay overnight.Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods.General proficiency with technology tools such as Teams and Outlook.Knowledge of electric utility operations and power distribution.Understanding of National Electrical Safety Codes (NESC).Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with data collection is advantageous.Familiarity with joint use, staking, and power poles is beneficial.Previous experience with Katapult or IKE is a plus.Work Environment

The role involves traveling to various sites primarily around the Georgia/Alabama border, with projects extending into Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle. Expect to travel an average of three nights per week, with potential for four-night stays depending on project requirements. The position operates on a four-day work week, ten hours per day, and includes per diem for food and lodging at Georgia rates, as well as mileage reimbursement for driving to sites. There is potential for the use of a company vehicle, which may be taken home.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
