Job Description
We are currently seeking candidates with an Engineering degree to join our team as Distribution Engineers and Technicians. The role will primarily focus on Distribution projects and involves design development and coordination, with occasional fieldwork. Successful candidates will receive training from experienced Distribution Engineers and will perform a variety of engineering calculations and tasks.
ResponsibilitiesPerform engineering calculations such as structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices.Prepare forestry trimming requests, facilitate permit and Right-of-Way acquisition.Develop a Bill of Materials (BOM) and estimate costs.Focus on design development and coordination (90% of the time), with occasional fieldwork required after several months on the job (10%).Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD.Strong understanding of engineering and power distribution.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.Ability to work effectively in a team and demonstrate leadership capabilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsCompleted ABET 4-year Engineering Degree with no outstanding credits in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.Passion and interest in Power Utilities and Distribution.Experience with CAD Design Software (AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks, MicroStation, Inventor, MATLAB, etc.).Valid Driver's License.Work Environment
This is a fully on-site position located in Atlanta, GA. The office environment consists of a mix of Designers, Engineers, and Design Technicians who support distribution projects. The work setting promotes teamwork and involves collaborative group work on various projects. The project portfolio includes large energy projects for electric utilities, power generation owners, and industrial clients, in partnership with industry-leading construction partners.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, Georgia.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.81 - $29.81/hr.
