Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership. If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Support the strategic development and distribution initiatives aligned to HQ sales strategies; assess, advise, and implement training programs and techniques to drive execution of competitive strategies; work with distribution leaders to ensure consistent execution and identify needs or barriers that headquarters can help address; drive the coordination, execution, and implementation of broad projects across distribution channelsAct as a liaison with HQ and the distribution channels; provide mentoring and guidance on issues involving business critical strategic initiatives; develop and improve capabilities and to address performance issues
Develop initiatives and strategies based on the collection and analysis of statistical and performance data; provide recommendations based on sales performance, growth opportunities and develop solutions and drives execution of competitive strategy for the distribution channels; analyze and track the effectiveness of existing programs; compile statistics, translate data and formulate insights into tangible recommendations that will improve recruiting, production, and sales performance; present findings and recommendations to management
Work with cross functional teams to develop and communicate regarding promotions and key deadlines to ensure training and product introductions are properly executed; address and solve issues that arise during execution minimize disruptions
Responsible for managing strategic marketing and sponsorship budgets to drive sales objectives; assist in the design and development of metrics to gather insight on performance of the organization and monitors and measures effectiveness; conducts organizational assessments and strategic business planning for the state operations; management reporting and analyses of financial and operating data, including cost-benefit analyses, and performance assessments; prepares updates, progress and variance reports, and other ad hoc reports for management reporting; identifies issues and proposes solutions
Manages, motivates, and coaches individuals on the team; provides consistent and constructive feedback to employees; trains, develops or identifies employees’ training and resource needs; maintains employee personnel records, establishes priorities, schedules daily work and monitors the quality and quantity of work performed by the department and the individuals within the department; recommends promotions and terminations, etc; assists with developing the department and/or division annual budget, and ensure that operations are managed within authorized budget limits, while maintaining cost control, labor efficiency, materials efficiency, service quality, and appropriate staffing levels
Establish and maintain formal relationships to assist researching best practices and emerging trends in sales methodology and training; identifying additional knowledge resources and stay abreast with industry standards; drives the initiation, development, planning, and implementation of strategic studies; communicates key strategies and competitive insights; establishes opportunities for additional activities
Analyze leadership needs for learning and development strategies that support business priorities and operational goals; maintains knowledge on adult learning theory, facilitation skills, and emerging training technologies
Performs other duties as required
Total Rewards
The salary range for this job is $130,000 - $165,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.
At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
