Job Description
This role involves performing detailed design work, including the preparation of drawings, specifications, and estimates for review and approval by the responsible engineer.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare manual or computer-assisted design and construction drawings of a complex nature with neatness and a minimum of errors.Perform design services requiring a full understanding of drawings, specifications, and industry standards.Participate in the preparation of cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions.Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations.Coordinate equipment deliveries and design development to meet project schedules.Acquire on-site field data to accomplish the design or to monitor and evaluate equipment performance.Essential SkillsThorough knowledge of technical practices and procedures in areas such as Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control, Protective Relaying, Transmission Design, Substation Design, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Distribution Engineering, Surveying, GIS and Mapping, and CADD.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate Degree in a technical field preferred or equivalent experience.Minimum of 2 years relevant experience required if no degree.Leadership and technical capability to perform job duties and responsibilities.Entry-level candidates with an associate's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering disciplines are preferred.Work Environment
The position is based in an office with an opportunity for flexible hours once trained. There is also an opportunity to work from home two days a week, subject to management discretion.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
