Distribution Designer
***REMOTE*** DISTRIBUTION DESIGNER Job Description The role involves the detailed design of overhead and/or underground electric distribution systems. This includes preparing field notes, drawings, specifications, and design estimates. The candidate should possess analytical skills to effectively interact with engineers and experienced distribution system designers. Experience with Heavy Load calculations is a plus. The candidate will support a joint use project. Essential Skills + Experience in power distribution and distribution design. + Knowledge in electrical design. + Proficiency with DDS, AEP, and PSO. + High school diploma is required. + Analytical competence in interacting with various individuals. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate degree in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering is preferred. + Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications. + Experience with AutoCAD or similar programs. + Familiarity with AEGIS and distribution design experience. + Experience with Storms and DDS. + Acceptable software includes CAD, ArcGIS, Solidworks, Microstation. + No certifications required. + 2+ years of experience preferred. + Underground distribution experience is a second preference. Work Environment Candidates will ideally be based in Arlington, TX, with the option to work remotely. Core hours are from 9 AM to 3 PM, but flexibility is offered for remote work. The role offers a standard 40-hour workweek, with the option for additional hours paid at a flat rate for those who opt in. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
