Job Description
This role involves field data collection, design, and estimation using Futura staking software. The position requires handling reject pole design, storm damage assessment, transmission line design, and occasional fiber design. Work will be conducted primarily in the Clemson and surrounding areas of South Carolina, with flexibility to work from offices in Pickens. Candidates should possess experience in power systems, either through design or line crew experience. While a high school diploma with relevant experience is acceptable, an Electrical Engineering degree is a plus.
ResponsibilitiesCollect field data and perform design estimations using Futura staking software.Design reject poles and assess storm damage.Design transmission lines and occasionally handle fiber design.Collaborate with team members to ensure project accuracy and efficiency.Travel to project sites as needed, with opportunities for overnight stays.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years experience utilizing Futura Software.Experience in field data collection, estimation, and design.Proficiency in overhead power design, mapwise, overhead line design, and underground utilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with power identification and partner utilities.An Electrical Engineering degree is advantageous but not required.Work Environment
Project sites are located in the Clemson and Anderson areas of South Carolina, with office locations in Pickens and Westminster. Employees have the flexibility to work either four 10-hour days Monday through Thursday or five 8-hour days Monday through Friday. The role involves 60% office work and 40% field work.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
