Job Description:
The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for managing the RaceTrac Distributing Distribution Center. This individual oversees and manages all Distribution Center functions including receiving product from vendors, auditing store orders, code dating product and maintaining the facility. The Distribution Center Supervisor manages a team of associates responsible for carrying out all general warehouse duties.
Responsibilities:
Provides strategic oversight to RaceTrac Distributing initiatives to ultimately produce a lower cost to the organization due to efficient distribution and warehouse managementLeads, mentors, and develops direct reports; ensures their work aligns with the overall warehouse goalsAppraises employees’ productivity and efficiency for the purposes of recommending changes in status and communicates information to DC managementOversees all general warehouse support functions; including but not limited to, picking product for the stores, auditing store orders, code dating product maintaining the facility, and executing all ad hoc requestsOversees and manages all daily inbound and outbound inventories and ensures they are documented and organizedEnsures product integrity by checking food temperatures and by following the FEFO processEnsures all issues with vendors are documented and communicated to the Distribution Center ManagerServes as a point of contact for conflict management of associates for escalated issuesPartners with staffing agency to solidify proper staff, and ensures performance metrics are metHas the ability to lift up to 75 pounds; frequently reach up to 72 inches, and repeatedly bends, stands, and reaches while operating a pallet jack and/or forklift, retrieving items from lower shelf areas, with no or infrequent breaksHas the ability to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environmentHas the ability to work a flexible schedule including to varying start/finish times, weekends, and holidaysQualifications:
