Job Description

The Distribution & Business Development Intern plays a pivotal role in supporting Distribution and Business Development at CNBC International and will learn how to strategically build and monetise CNBC’s arsenal of intellectual property. You will be exposed to a broad range of functions, such as in-house partnerships, new business acquisition, market research and analysis, account management support and affiliate marketing. You will also work with the wider Commercial team to support crucial day-to-day content operations across broadcast and clip licensing.  

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Support the Team in identifying opportunities to grow CNBC’s distribution and business development revenues.Research and synthesize quantitative and qualitative market data to identify and evaluate new business/ partnership opportunitiesPrepare financial and strategic analysis on competitors and marketsUpdating presentation decks with case studies and updates Work directly with the Distribution Analyst and internal stakeholders to manage operations for broadcast and content deliverySupport CNBC’s Clip Licensing business; work directly with the Distribution Analyst to manage all aspects of clip licensing, from the clipping of the guest interviews to the daily maintenance of the e-commerce clip licensing website, CNBC Mediahub.With the support of a third-party developer, ensure that CNBC MediaHub meets clip licensing’s business needs, is kept up-to-date, while considering further developmentsProvide administrative support to both EMEA and APAC teams, such as maintaining sales records, recording subscriber reports and maintaining the affiliates databaseProvide basic account management support to existing partners and affiliatesSupport affiliate marketing for the APAC and EMEA regions

Qualifications

Please note that this is a full-time 6 month internship opportunity from January - June 2026 for undergraduate students. 

University undergraduates majoring in business administration, entrepreneurship or equivalentExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to engage and interact professionally with both internal and external stakeholders at varying levelsStrong organizational skills and possesses an ability to multitaskAbility to prioritize a variety of tasks while operating under tight deadlinesKeen interests in media and entertainment industryPro-active learner who takes initiativeFluency in English language is essentialMature individual who is able to work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner
