Distribution Administration Assistant

In this unique opportunity at our Darra site, you will be given the opportunity to ensure the daily flow of work through the department to enable the distribution targets to be met. You will be responsible for working with our customer to ensure their orders are processed, received and dispatched in a timely manner. This is a fantastic opportunity to work collaboratively in a high performing team to provide a high-level support to drive distribution efficiency and service performance. 

The role:

Ensure all picking and packing orders are processed and the delivery paperwork is correct for the couriers

Connect with transport carriers to ensure agreed delivery timeslots with customers is met.

Reviewing goods return processes and identifying areas to streamline the process.

Support and respond to customers enquiries in relation to returns and availability or delivery of products

Take ownership of identifying process improvements for the warehouse management system and look for ways to improve stock documentation.

Contact customers to ensure deliveries can be made prior to deliveries occurring should dates change

Effectively report on rush orders and costings as well as arranging quotes on transport costs for customers

Our ideal candidate may have:

Good interpersonal skills to build relationships and work in a team environment

Excellent problem solving and time management skills

Experience with SAP would be advantageous

An understanding of dangerous goods regulations

A background in transportation would be advantageous
