Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Application Support Specialist to join our team. This professional will be crucial in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous support of our critical applications, playing a fundamental role in incident resolution and system optimization, with a particular focus on Linux environments and SQL databases.

Application Support: Provide Level 2 and 3 technical support for various applications, efficiently diagnosing and resolving incidents to ensure business continuity.

Database Management (SQL): Perform troubleshooting, query optimization, and basic maintenance on SQL databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.

Linux System Administration: Administer and maintain Linux server infrastructure, monitoring performance and resolving issues related to the operating system and services.

Monitoring and Alerts: Implement and manage monitoring systems to proactively identify performance, capacity, and security issues within applications and the underlying infrastructure.

Problem Analysis and Resolution: Investigate the root cause of application and system problems, implementing effective and permanent solutions.

Automation and Scripting: Develop and implement scripts (primarily Bash/Shell Scripting and Python) to automate routine tasks and improve the efficiency of support processes.

Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation regarding applications, support procedures, and implemented solutions.

Collaboration: Work closely with development, infrastructure, and other stakeholder teams to optimize application performance and resolve complex issues.

Change Management: Participate in the planning and execution of changes in production environments, ensuring their stability.

Qualifications

Proven experience in Application Support, Technical Support, or System Administration roles.

Strong knowledge and mandatory hands-on experience with SQL (ability to write and optimize complex queries, diagnose database performance issues).

Strong knowledge and mandatory hands-on experience with Linux (system administration, troubleshooting, service management).

Proficiency in Shell Scripting (Bash) for task automation.

Ability to efficiently and autonomously diagnose and resolve technical problems.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Fluency in English (spoken and written).
